I am Zanthe Vorsatz,

Founder, proposal planner and photographer behind The Perfect Moment — and someone who still gets incredibly excited every time I know a proposal is about to happen.

What started with a love of capturing proposals has grown into something much bigger. After planning and photographing more than 150 proposals, I’ve had the privilege of helping couples from New Zealand and around the world create one of the most exciting moments of their lives.

And somehow, the moment just before someone gets down on one knee never gets old.

I know how overwhelming planning a surprise proposal can feel. Where should you do it? What time will have the best light? How do you get your partner there without making them suspicious? Where will the photographer hide? What happens if the weather changes?

Those are exactly the things I’m here to help with.

The Perfect Moment brings together proposal planning, styling, photography and videography so you don’t have to coordinate everything alone. I’ll help you work through the ideas, locations and logistics and bring together the people needed to make your proposal happen seamlessly.

Then, when the moment finally arrives, you can forget about everything happening behind the scenes and focus on the person standing in front of you.

The Perfect Moment is based in Auckland, but our proposals don’t stop there.

We create and capture proposal experiences throughout New Zealand — from Auckland’s dramatic west coast and the vineyards of Waiheke Island to the mountains of Queenstown, helicopter experiences and destination proposals further afield.

I also work with couples travelling to New Zealand from overseas, helping plan the details before they even arrive.

Every proposal has taught me something.

After more than 150 proposals, that experience allows me to think about the things you may never have realised needed planning.

Photography has always been at the heart of The Perfect Moment.

As a professional photographer and videographer, I don’t only think about how your proposal will look when you arrive — I’m considering how the location photographs, where the light will fall, where I can discreetly position myself and how we can capture your reaction without interrupting the moment.

After the YES, we’ll take some time for relaxed photographs together so you leave with more than just images of the proposal itself — you’ll have the beginning of your engagement story captured too.

And if you choose to add highlight videography, you’ll also be able to relive the movement, reactions and emotion of the moment all over again.
